Violinist, was a child prodigy, performing a concerto for violin and orchestra by Vivaldi to nine years in the Municipal Theatre. After some performances, he abandoned the violin to complete their studies. He began playing in 1940, when he joined the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of Carlos Machado, who played at the Cassino da Urca. Radio Nacional in 1950, some years later was with guitarist Laurindo Almeida to the United States, where he made recordings for film and accompanied Carmen Miranda. There also recorded an album with Brazilian music, including "Aquarela do Brazil", "In Lower the Shoemaker" (both of Ary Barroso) and "Paraíba" (Humberto Teixeira / Luiz Gonzaga). In 1952 he graduated with Boy (guitar), and Chiquinho of Accordion Trio mute, where, besides playing the violin, also sang. They released their first album in 1953 with the original recording of "Two accounts" with music and lyrics by Boy. In the same year they recorded "Trio Plays mute Ary Barroso." He returned to America to follow Carmen Miranda and, after the singer's death, remained some time there. Back in Brazil in 1956, was artistic director Victor, appeared in television and played in clubs until 1961, when he returned to America, getting four more years.
